Your data. Your call.

Short version: we use your run data to coach you, nothing else. We don't sell it, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other apps or sites.

Who we are

Hearun is an iOS running app with an audio coach, published by Guillaume Simon (sole proprietor, EI), Bezannes, France. For any privacy question: guillaumesimon51@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account: your name and email if you sign in with Apple or with an email code, and your preferences (goal, chosen coach, language).
Run data: route (GPS location), distance, pace, elevation, cadence, heart rate when available, duration, and the weather during your run.
Coach messages: what your coach said during a run and the recap that follows.
Beta signup (this website): your email address, if you leave it to get early access.

Permissions the app asks for

Location: to measure your run, including while your iPhone is locked. Nothing is collected when you are not running.
Health: to read heart rate, distance and running data, and to save your runs to Apple Health. You can refuse or change this at any time in iOS Settings.
Motion: to measure cadence and elevation.

How we use it

To coach you during your run and write your recap.
To keep your account, history and settings.
To fix bugs and improve the app.
To email you about your beta invite, if you signed up on this website.

Who processes it

To work, the app sends the context of your run (pace, heart rate, goal, weather) to our servers, which generate your coach's words and voice. We rely on service providers for hosting, speech and text generation, and Apple services (Sign in with Apple, WeatherKit, Maps, Health). They process data only to provide the service. If you connect Strava, runs are exchanged with Strava according to your choice and their policy.

We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising. We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.

How long we keep it

As long as your account exists. Delete your account and your data is removed from our servers. Backups disappear within 30 days. Beta signup emails are deleted after the beta, or on request.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its processing (GDPR rights). Email us and we'll answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority.

Children

Hearun is not meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app.
